For geotechnical investigation, our services include the performance of in-situ testing works and interpretation of test results. Based on these test results, a technical proposal is made available for consideration. Beside the conventional deep bored holes, Mackintosh probing, standard penetration tests, field vane shear tests and laboratory tests, the following specialized tests are being offered by us:

• In-situ Menard Pressuremeter Tests (PMT)
• In-situ Cone Penetration Tests (CPT)
• In-situ Borehole Geophysics Tests (e.g. downhole PS logging, borehole resistivity logging, natural gamma density logging)
• In-situ Surface Geophysics Tests (e.g. spectra analysis of surface wave (SASW), seismic reflection and refraction, 1-D and 2-D resistivity test)

Our list of plant and equipment for geotechnical investigation includes:

• 4 units of PMT rigs
• 6 units of CPT rigs

Instruments

As part of our quality assurance and control, we carry out geotechnical instrumentation for monitoring works during and after ground improvement works. For geotechnical instrumentation, we provide supply, installation, monitoring and data interpretation for the following instruments:

• Settlement measurements using settlement plate and settlement gauge such as magnetic extensometer and profiler.
• Ground displacement measurements using inclinometer.
• Load, stress and pressure measurements using total earth pressure cells, vibrating wire load cell and vibrating wire strain gauge.
• Porewater pressure measurements using Casagrande standpipe piezometer, pneumatic piezometer, electric and vibrating wire piezometer and water level meters.
• Vibration and noise measurements using Blastmate II instruments.
• Plate load tests and other in-situ tests such as cone penetration tests, pressuremeter tests and field vane shear test, etc.
