Menard Geosystems is a subsidiary of Menard, France. It is part of Freyssinet which is a subsidiary of Vinci – the world’s leading integrated construction and concession group with operations in 75 countries.
Some 50 years ago, Louis Menard started the Menard Company. He invented the pressuremeter as a tool to predict the bearing capacity and settlement of soils from in-situ measurements of its characteristics. He developed many of the present- day ground improvement techniques such as dynamic consolidation amongst his earliest pioneering works in 1957.
In 1977, Menard won the first large scale turnkey ground improvement contract for the first runway at Changi Airport, Singapore. Since then, Menard has won many contracts in the Far East. This includes early contracts in Malaysia (1978), Indonesia (1982) and The Philippines (1982). By 1994, Menard has established permanent set-ups in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok and Jakarta under Menard Geosystems.
At Menard Geosystems, we provide “Sustainable Technology” solutions. We believe in construction with less material, use less energy and generate less CO2 as a key to environmental protection. It may not be able to achieve zero-energy design but we strive to reduce CO2 emission in every one of our projects.
“Sustainable construction is the way to meet present-day needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs in times to come”
